CCRS members will demonstrate winter pruning at the rose gardens at Heather Farm.  The public is invited to bring their hand pruners to learn as well.  Rain date of January 19, same time.

Annual Pruning Event
This is a major fundraiser for the society.  Members visit homeowners to prune their roses for a fee.  Please call Karen at (925) 681-1551 to schedule an appointment.  It's a great way to learn how to prune your own roses and benefit our group as well.

Rose Exhibition at Navlet's, Pleasant Hill
Bring your cut roses, with names, to display.  This is an educational program for the public.

Fun/Fundraising Trip to Wasco Rose Festival
The Contra Costra Rose Society will be having their "Fun Fund Raiser" this Sept. 5 and 6 (a week after Labor Day weekend). We are personally inviting you to join us in visiting the Wasco Rose Festival. This area has 9 different rose growers - they make up 55% of all rose bushes sold in the United States. We will be having a special tour with our own guide to most of these growing fields.

Please see the attached link below on this page and in Links tab for detailed application and flyer. We will have a special pick up for the group in Walnut Creek and in Pleasanton. Help us make this a success. It will be fun for all - you are welcome to invite your friends and family members. They do not need to be members of any rose society. All they need is a love of roses and an adventurous spirit to join us.

Really, for many of us this may be the only vacation we will have this year. So, boy, are we going to have a good time. There are a few seats left and we have a deadline of July 10th for people to sign up.
