The Contra Costa Rose Society meets on the fourth Monday of each month although there are some exceptions.  We meet at the Gardens at Heather Farm, 1540 Marchbanks Drive in Walnut Creek, CA.              

All meetings(except the annual November potluck dinner) start with:
     Refreshments: 7:15 pm
     General Meeting and Program: 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, February 28 - "Creative Climbers"
     
(When the only growing space left is UP ... you can grow climbing roses even in a small yard)

Monday, March 24 - "Rose Nutrition for Better Blooms:  A Cost-Effective Approach"
     Speakers:  Ken and Judy Jones, Mt. Diablo Rose Society 

Monday, April 28 - "Modern Rose Arrangements"
      Speaker/Demonstrator:  Shane Looper, San Mateo Rose Society

Saturday, May 3 (10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) - CCRS Rose Exhibition at Markham Garden Center, 1202 La Vista Ave., Concord
     Bring your cut roses, with names, to display.  This is an educational program for the public.

Monday, June 23 - "Preventing Heat Stress in Roses"
     Speaker:  Harry Dedini, Stockton Rose Society

Saturday, July 26 (6:30 pm) - Our annual Ice Cream Social at a member's house

Monday, August 25 - "For the Love of a Rose"
     (Story of the Peace rose and the love of families who gave it life)
     Speakers:  Steve and Diana Steps, Santa Clara Co. Rose Society

Fri. & Sat.  September 5 & 6 - Fun Fundraising Trip to Wasco Rose Festival
